On behalf of the school,  vice president Zhou Kechao, discussed the development plan of the Confucius Institute of CSU and expressed his positive response to the “Belt and Road Initiative” and the strategy of “going out of state-owned enterprises”. The combination of academic characteristics in CSU and the national conditions of the Congo (Kinshasa) will contribute to the talent training and economic development of the Congo (Kinshasa), and will strive to establish the Confucius Institute of CSU and the Democratic Republic of Congo as a model Confucius Institute.

During the meeting, Zhou Kechao also held friendly consultations with Pirrre Anddre, dean of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and Marie Madeleine, dean of the Confucius Institute on the construction of the Confucius Institute of CSU and Democratic Republic of Congo.

It is reported that more than 500 Confucius Institutes and more than 1,000 Confucius Classrooms for primary and secondary students have been established in more than 140 countries and regions since the first founding of the Confucius Institute more than 10 years ago. It has made positive contributions and played a unique role in promoting Chinese and foreign cultural exchanges, communicating Chinese and foreign peoples' hearts, and enhancing the friendship between Chinese and foreign people.
