Ms. Cui Shan Led a Delegation to CSU

On the morning of December 14, Ms. Cui Shan, Chief of China-Russia Education and Science and Technology Development Fund led a delegation of 7 to CSU. Vice President Zhou Kechao met the delegation at the second meeting room in the first office building, hosting a friendly talk between the two sides.



Vice President Zhou, on behalf of CSU , began the meeting with a welcome to the delegation led by Chief Cui Shan. He observed that CSU boasts a long history of cooperation with relevant Russian colleges and institutes, seeing a remarkable achievement. As China and Russia embrace an increasingly close partnership, there is a large space for improvement with deeper cooperation in fields of materials, manufacturing, rail transportation and the like to be expected. In terms of student and faculty exchange, CSU will select excellent students for further study in Russia while trying to invite Russian experts to share lectures in China. In addition, CSU possesses impressive ability in transformation of scientific and technological achievements in fields of materials and manufacturing, hence related service can be provided by CSU if our Russian partners enter Changsha via the fund.

Chief Cui Shan responded that she gained an overall understanding about CSU through the introduction by Vice President Zhou, which built a good confidence in her for the cooperation between the two parties. Then she introduced that the fund has developed a sound relationship with Russian universities since its establishment 17 years ago, elaborating on the achievements scored in the promotion of China-Russian cooperation in culture, education and science and technology, especially in Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run schools. She further offered the idea of joint application for Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school, or China-Russia School of Science and Technology, wining agreement from both sides.

Delegate Ms. Dalia Vorobieva, President Assistant of Moscow University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (MUAA) and President of Kazan Aviation Institute (KAI) introduced the cooperation between MUAA and Chinese universities, probing into the cooperation model among CSU, MUAA and KAI. The meeting was co-attended by directors of School of Material Science and Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Powder Metallurgy Institute and the International Cooperation and Exchange Office.
