Visit to CSU by the President of University of Dundee

On the afternoon of October 29, CSU President Tian Hongqi, on behalf of CSU, met with the delegation from University of Dundee. During the meeting, she confirmed her full support for CSU to apply for the permission for Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school.


Then, on the morning of October 30, Gao Wenbing, Secretary of CSU Party Committee held a meeting with the delegation of nine from University of Dundee in the Science and Education building. Led by Sir Pete Downes, President, Wendy Alexander, vice president, and Robert Ford, Director of Education Cooperation Development Department, the delegation discussed the co-building of Chinese-foreign cooperatively-run school with CSU representatives.


The two sides exchanged views over some details concerning the Central South University-University of Dundee International School. Initial agreement has been reached on such majors as life science (with 60 undergraduates, 20 to 30 graduates, and 10 doctoral students to be included), nursing(with 60 undergraduates to be included), and medical imaging (with 20-30 graduate students to be included).
